Cassie McAllister miraculously survived an attack by her ex-husband. Trapped in Annie’s life, Cassie meets Carrington Chambers, a local farmer with a murderous reputation. Annie is smitten, but Cassie is wary of his dark nature—and with good reason. She’s unaware that Annie mysteriously dies soon after the couple wed.
Back in the attic, Cassie is shocked when she encounters Carrington again—only now he’s a ghost. He seeks revenge and redemption and wants Cassie’s help getting both or risk eternity stuck in limbo. Cassie’s affection for Carrington grows, in two different centuries, as she gets dangerously close to deadly secrets about Annie’s demise.
